Example: Using the Extract Tool Photoshop 6.0These twelve slides will step though the process of deleting the back ground from around an object. Removing or "extracting" objects from the background eliminates unnecessary distractions thus improving design and layout. Images extracted from the background are often referred to as "cutouts" "In the printing industry pages used to be created simply by cutting and pasting onto card, photographic text, artwork and bromide photographic prints. This was known as a paste up or the initial perfunctory work as a scamp and these terms are now used for the digital counterparts". |
